Manchester United have come up with a new transfer target for January, as The Metro reports that they are now aiming to sign Borussia Dortmund winger Marco Reus.
The Red Devils are currently thin at the front, as James Wilson was dealt to Derby County on a loan deal while midfielder Adnan Januzaj was shipped to Borussia Dortmund.
Striker Wayne Rooney missed the Liverpool match with a hamstring injury, forcing Marouane Fellaini into action.
Reus does not have any Premier League experience, but he would instantly break onto Man United’s first team.
He has scored 39 goals in 84 Bundesliga appearances for Borussia Dortmund.
The German club are keen to hold onto the 26-year-old, and he is currently valued at £31.5m.
Man United also have competition working against them, as the German international is being pursued by Real Madrid too.
The Spanish club are expected to be the favourites to sign Reus, leaving Man United even more vulnerable at the forward position.
It remains to be seen whether Martial can step up right away for Man United, as his presence has become even more crucial.
