Manchester United are said to be the new favourites to sign highly-rated Burnley striker Danny Ings at the end of the season on a free transfer, according to the Metro.

The Clarets striker has bagged nine goals so far this season as the club struggle to climb out of the relegation zone, but he still has a number of admirers that are vying for his signature over the summer.
And according to a report in talkSPORT, Louis Van Gaal has already entered discussions with the striker, which are now apparently at an advances stage.
United are confident that they can see off competition for his signature from the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham.
United are desperately looking to boost their forward line this summer, as the loan deal that saw Radamel Falcao arrive has failed to work out, and injuries have robbed them of a significant return from Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie.
