Manchester United have begun talks over the signing of Gremio wonderkid Lincoln, according to reports.
The 16-year-old is making waves in his native Brazil, and according to Boa Informacao [via Daily Express] United are keen to tie up a deal for the attacking midfielder.
Lincoln has already made two first-team appearances for Gremio and has been reportedly also been contacted by Leicester City.
However, the report claims that the move is unlikely to occur at this stage, with the player’s third-party owners DIS Group not yet keen for Lincoln to sign a deal with United due to his age.
Lincoln has reportedly received strong praise from former Brazil boss Luiz Felipe Scolari and is being touted as a future star for the national team.
United boss Louis van Gaal remains keen to strenghten before the summer transfer window closes, despite already bringing Memphis Depay, Matteo Darmian, Sergio Romero, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin to Old Trafford in the off-season.
