While Louis Van Gaal would have hoped to have seen him return in time for the mid-week clash with the Dutch giants, it has been confirmed that the 29-year-old hasn’t recovered.
It remains to be seen whether or not Marouane Fellaini continues up front after the Belgian was given the nod in the 3-1 win at Old Trafford, but with Anthony Martial making an immediate impact in his debut, he could be given a starting spot.
The 19-year-old scored a stunning goal to secure the win for the Red Devils, and so Van Gaal may well be tempted to reward the youngster with a crucial role against PSV.
