Manchester United have been issued a clear hands off warning over Harry Kane, with Tottenham reportedly not interested in selling the striker to any club.
Kane has been heavily linked with a big-money move to Old Trafford this summer, however, The Guardian reports Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy met with United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward and told the Red Devils boss that the North London club would not entertain any bids for the player.
According to the report, Tottenham’s position has not changed despite the fact the club are understood to be looking to sign Javier Hernandez or Saido Berahino.
It is unlikely United would be willing to strengthen one of its closest rivals, and a deal for West Bromwich Albion stiker Berahino looks more likely.
United manager Louis van Gaal is in desperate need for another striker following the departures of Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao, but it seems Kane is out of the question – for this summer at least.
