Schalke 04’s Julian Draxler has been a hot transfer target in the Premier League – and Man United want in on the action.
Arsenal and Chelsea have both been fighting tooth and nail to put together a suitable bid for Schalke 04 winger Julian Draxler, but Man United hope to have the final say.
According to the Express, Man United are stepping up their interest in the 21-year-old Schalke winger after missing out on Barcelona’s Pedro and seeing record a goal and an assist in his first match for Chelsea.
Schalke reportedly turned down a recent bid of £17 million from Juventus as Arsenal prepare to launch a bid of £21.1 million for the young winger.
Julian Draxler made his senior debut with Schalke 04 in 2010 and has been a star winger for the club when healthy. He had a breakout year during the 2012-13 season and set a career high with 10 league goals and 13 total goals. Draxler was also a member of the German national team that won the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
