Manchester United face strong competition in the chase for Barcelona winger Pedro, with reports suggesting German giants Bayern Munich are also keen on the Spanish international.
The Red Devils have been heavily linked with a move for Pedro, however, The Mirror reports Bayern are keen to enter the race with former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola wanting to reunite with the 27-year-old.
United were believed to be close to making Pedro it’s sixth signing of the summer following the arrivals of Memphis Depay, Matteo Darmian, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Morgan Schneiderlin and Sergio Romero.
The move could now be in jeopardy following Bayern’s interest in the winger, but it remains to be seen if either of the two club’s will trigger Pedro’s £22m buyout clause.
Pedro has struggled for first-team action at the Camp Nou due to the strong form of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez and believed to be frustrated after dropping down the pecking order at the club.
