Manchester United are reportedly looking to soften the blow of losing out on former Barcelona winger Pedro, who transferred to Chelsea in a shocking turn of events.
According to The Metro, the Red Devils are now hoping to get their hands on Lazio winger Felipe Anderson, after previous unsuccessful attempts to sign him.
United had an £18m bid for the Brazilian rejected last summer, but they may aggressively pursue Anderson again after his impressive 2014-15 season.
Anderson scored 10 goals while dishing out 11 assists in 32 Serie A appearances for Lazio last term, which marked a breakout season for him.
The international also offers plenty of versatility, as he is capable of playing as a No.10 or a forward.
The transfer window is set to close on August 31, so United will not have much time to come up with their second offer, which has yet to be formally made.
