Former Man United star Gary Neville has insisted that the Chelsea players “need a slap around the face” before their title slips away.
The defending Premier League champions have four points from their first four games of the season, and are already eight points adrift of Man City.

Neville doesn’t understand how the Chelsea players look both tired and disinterested so far this campaign, and called upon them to fix it quickly or they risk losing their title.
“I have to say that, listening to Jose Mourinho after the game saying how concerned he was, I’d be concerned now,” he told Sky Sports.
“The players need to give themselves a slap around the face.
“I don’t know what it is at this moment in time, but I think the international break has come at a good time for Chelsea. It’ll allow them all just to get away and reassess what’s going on.”
The former England international added that the Chelsea players “look absolutely knackered and shot to pieces”, and it isn’t a good sign of things to come given it is still so early in the year.
Chelsea’s 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace on Saturday was their second defeat of the season, with Man City beating them 3-0 earlier this month.
