Manchester United are still looking to make one last signing before the transfer window closes, and manager Louis van Gaal is keen to make it a memorable one.
According to the Mirror, the Red Devils are still hoping to convince Real Madrid to sell superstar Gareth Bale for a staggering £95m.
Real have not indicated that they are willing to sell the 26-year-old, but they may have no choice if they receive an offer of that magnitude.
It will be even harder to resist the temptation of selling Bale for a high amount of money if he continues to be the subject of ridicule from Madrid fans.
The Welsh international was made a scapegoat in his last season at the Bernabeu, which caused Real fans to turn against him despite proving to be a solid scorer as he came up with 17 goals in 48 appearances.
As a result, the La Liga giants are expected to demand at least £100m for the world’s most expensive player, who cost them £86m from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013.
