Man United are reportedly set to make Real Madrid pair Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo their primary targets next summer.
Despite the problems between the two clubs created by the David De Gea saga over the summer, United believe that they have a chance to sign the duo next year after smoothing things over with the Spanish giants, according to the Mirror.

It is reported that the messy transfer fiasco surrounding De Gea hasn’t broken down all relationships between the two clubs, and so United will make Bale their first choice transfer target next year.
The 26-year-old had been linked with a move to Old Trafford before the deadline, but along with Ronaldo, he stayed at the Bernabeu where he is expected to play a pivotal role for Rafa Benitez in his first season in charge of the club.
According to the Mirror, there is also a growing belief that United can persuade Ronaldo to make a shock return to the club.
It is suggested that they could take advantage of the reported tense relationship between the Portuguese ace and Benitez, but much of it is hearsay and it is unclear as to how realistic the move is.
Nevertheless, it is claimed that United have made their intentions clear and that they will be linked with the star duo again sooner rather than later.
