Man United are expected to miss out on signing PSG striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic after Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi called him back to the San Siro.
It was reported on Monday that the Ligue 1 champions had informed the Swedish international that he was free to leave before the end of the month.

While United boss Louis Van Gaal had previously hinted at signing a striker that would surprise the media, Ibrahimovic was amongst the group of players linked with a switch to Old Trafford.
However, it doesn’t appear as though that will happen as Berlusconi seemed confident that if the Swede leaves Paris, he will be coming back to Milan.
“If Ibrahimovic wants to come to Milan, we are waiting with open arms,” he said after the win over Perugia in the Coppa Italia on Monday night, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Other media outlets in Italy are suggesting that the former Italian PM went as far as saying that Ibrahimovic has told him that if he does leave the French capital, then he will be returning to the Rossoneri.
The 33-year-old was a crucial part of the club’s last Serie A triumph, and admitted at the time of leaving that he would love to return given that it was purely financial reasons that the club had to sell him.
