Manchester United appear to have even more momentum in the race to sign Valencia defender Nicolas Otamendi now.
According to The Metro, Otamendi was excluded from Valencia’s pre-season kit launch. This implies that a move to Old Trafford is looking even more likely.
Here is a picture of the team’s notable omission of their star defender from their official Twitter account.

Valencia already seem to accept the fact that their 27-year-old star defender will leave for another team.
The Argentine international remains one of Man United’s biggest targets, as they are still on a mission to upgrade their defence.
Otamendi experienced a breakout season for Valencia in the 2014-15 season, as he scored a career-high six goals in 35 La Liga appearances.
The Red Devils are already on the verge of losing defender Jonny Evans on an £8m transfer deal to Everton.

This opens the door for Otamendi to replace Evans.
While Man United have not made a formal offer yet, a deal for the Valencia defender appears to be on the horizon for the Red Devils.
He would join newly acquired defender Matteo Darmian in a revamped Red Devils squad, along with midfielders Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin.
