The 19-year-old has been in hot form for the Southport reserve side this season, bagging himself 38 goals, and scouts have seen enough of him to warrant handing him a trial at Old Trafford.
The Conference side have allowed him to travel to Manchester so that manager Louis Van Gaal can get a better look at his prospects, and they are said to be eager to cash in on him for the windfall.
Van Gaal spent heavily on rejuvenating his side over the summer, but has still kept an eye on lower league players to snap up for a bargain with Sadiq El Fitouri arriving from Salford City during the January window.
