Manchester United winger Ashley Young is entering the final season of his current contract, but the Red Devils are hoping to see him finish his career at Old Trafford.
According to the Daily Star, United have offered the 30-year-old a three-year deal.
Young is expected to sign this sort of deal soon, which will silence rumours of him possibly leaving to create space for Barcelona winger Pedro.
Man United have already moved on from disappointing midfielder Angel di Maria, who is expected to officially transfer to Paris Saint-Germain this week.
This has opened the door for the Red Devils to go after Pedro and re-sign Young, who has spent his last four seasons with Man United.
Young has failed to make a significant impact since his first year at Old Trafford though. He has only come up with five goals in his last three seasons after notching eight in the 2011-12 season.
He will provide valuable experience and leadership for young midfielders Memphis Depay and Morgan Schneiderlin though.
