Manchester United have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Gregory van der Wiel from Paris Saint-Germain after missing out on Dani Alves.
The Red Devils had seemingly hoped to lure Alves to the Premier League, but the 32-year-old Brazilian confirmed a shock U-turn on Tuesday by signing a new contract at the Camp Nou.

Louis van Gaal is now looking at alternatives for his problem right-back position, and may have been gift-wrapped a solution.
The Daily Mail claims that Van der Wiel, who only has one year left on his contract with the Ligue 1 champions, could be available for as little as £7m this summer.
Although he does have 41 international caps, the 27-year-old Dutchman was not included in Van Gaal’s Netherlands squad for the 2014 World Cup, suggesting that a move for Southampton’s Nathaniel Clyne is more likely.
