Tottenham could end its pursuit of West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino, according to reports.
Berahino has been heavily linked with a move away from The Hawthorns, and Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly keen to bring the England under-21 striker to White Hart Lane to partner Harry Kane up front.
However, The Daily Mail reports Tottenham could turn its back on a deal after the Baggies rejected a £21m bid for the 21-year-old on Tuesday.
It is understood the offer was £4m below West Brom’s valuation of the striker and Spurs could now turn its attentions to other targets.
Tottenham are believed to be close to signing Bayer Leverkusen star Son Heung-min, and the Daily Express reports Manchester United could now be keen on making a move for Berahino.
Recent reports suggest Louis van Gaal has been handed a £73m transfer kitty to sign a striker before the end of the transfer window, meaning the Premier League giants could easily match West Brom’s £25m asking price for Berahino.
