Manchester United are inching closer to a deal to sign Barcelona winger Pedro, according to reports.
Pedro has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer, and The Sun reports the Spanish international will be heading to the Premier League in the coming days.
The report suggests United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward met Barcelona officials last night in order to finalise the deal.
A Red Devils insider told The Sun that the deal was nearing completion, with Pedro set to say goodbye to Barcelona fans during a friendly at the Nou Camp against Roma on Wendesday.
“A deal is almost done. Pedro wants it, United want it and Barcelona accept they have to let the lad go.”
Barcelona boss Luis Enrique is desperate to keep hold of the Pedro, however the 27-year-old is understood to be frustrated with his lack of opportunity with the first team.
The front three of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez were superb last term, leaving Pedro watching from the bench.
Chelsea were also believed to be interested in the winger, but it seems Manchester United are in pole position to complete the deal.
