Man United are closing in on a deal to sign Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos, according to reports.

Ramos is understood to be looking for an exit from the Bernabeu, and Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is believed to have made the Spanish international a key transfer target this summer.
According to respected Spanish journalist Paco Gonzalez, United are preparing a mammoth offer to put on the table for Real Madrid to ponder over.

The tweet from the COPE journalist suggests Portuguese super agent Jorge Mendes will become involved in negotiations, and the player advisor already has a long history in dealing with Manchester United.
According to Metro [via AS] on Tuesday, Real Madrid had offered United the opportunity to sign the 29-year-old for a mega fee of £63.7m, and it remains to be seen if the Red Devils’ offer as anything around that region.
