Manchester United midfielder Anderson could be in line to make a shock transfer deadline day move to Premier League newcomers Burnley, according to the Daily Star.
The Clarets are still keen to make additions to their squad after struggling to bring in many new faces over the course of the summer.
Sean Dyche’s side picked up their first point of the season in Sautrday’s 0-0 draw with United at Turf Moor.
Anderson began that encounter on the substitutes bench before replacing new boy Angel Di Maria after an hour.
But according to new reports coming from Brazil the unwanted midfielder could be on his way to join Burnley in a shock deadline day twist.
It is believed that should the move go ahead then it would be on a loan deal, as the club surely wouldn’t be able to pay his wages on a permanent move.
The 26-year-old spent the previous campaign on loan with Serie A side Fiorentina and has already been told by manager Louis Van Gaal that he is surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.
