Juan Mata – 7/10
Had more shots – four, including the one which found the net – than any other play. His subbing on 69 minutes was therefore surprising. United missed his creativity after he was replaced by Ashley Young, who was unimpressive.
Memphis Depay – 5/10
Was kept in check by the Swansea backline. Picked up a cheap yellow card for a silly tug on Kyle Naughton’s shirt.
Wayne Rooney – 5/10
The midweek hat-trick hero slumped back into his old ways on his return to domestic action. The England captain registered just one shot on target. He had a great chance to score a late equaliser, but he was eased out of the way by Ashley Williams.
