Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo says he and his teammates are petrified of Louis van Gaal‘s “bulldog face”.
Van Gaal has come under fire this week with Red Devils players reportedly unhappy with the Dutchman’s ‘hardline’ training regime.
Rojo admitted the players were scared of Van Gaal when the former Bayern Munich boss spits the dummy.
“Van Gaal has this strong personality and it’s scary when he’s angry,” Rojo told The Sun.
“He has this bulldog face! He is a great person and will have a good relationship with you — as long as you obey him in everything he says.”
According to The Sun, “Bulldog Face” is a term used in South America to describe someone who is ‘always angry and never smiles’.
Rojo felt the fury of Van Gaal first hand after the Argentine international failed to show up for the club’s pre-season tour of the United States die to visa issues.
The 25-year-old was reported to have been fined two weeks’ wages and has not yet featured in any of United’s Premier League fixtures this season.
