Old Trafford side target Serie A duo.
Man United are reportedly looking to bring in Inter Milan pair Andrea Ranocchia and Fredy Guarin, according to the Daily Express.
David Moyes is yet to bring in a high profile signing since taking over from Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford, his one purchase thus far being the £1.5m capture of Uruguayan Guillermo Varela, and with a move to bring in Barcelona midfielder Thiago Alcantara ongoing it seems that the Scot is also looking to invest in some Serie A talent.
Moves to capture Italian international defender Andrea Ranocchia could be with a view to strengthening Man United’s defensive options and the 6ft 5in 25 year old is certainly capable of plying his trade in the English top tier though Inter Milan may be reticent about accepting offers for a player of such importance.
Ranochia started 32 Serie A fixtures last term.
Versatile Colombian Fredy Guarin has been strongly linked with a San Siro exit and is perhaps more likely to be offloaded by the club and Moyes could well feel the need to add more strength in depth to the centre of his midfield.
With Paul Scholes calling it a day and with Darren Fletcher continuing his recovery from illness there may well be a real need to bring in alternative midfield options and an adaptable option like Guarin could be a sensible target to have on the Man United wish-list.
