Manchester United travel to Southampton on Monday evening, looking to continue their good run of form…
Manchester United have the opportunity to make it five Premier League wins on the spin when they take on Southampton on Monday night, and could consolidate the spot in the top four.
United could move five points clear of Arsenal, and seven clear of Liverpool with victory tonight – a fantastic turn around considering their difficult start to the season.
Here is how they could line-up at St. Mary’s Stadium:
GK) David De Gea
The United keeper has continued to impress throughout his team’s fine run, and has no concerns over his spot.
RB) Chris Smalling
Louis van Gaal has deployed him at centre back against Stoke, but he could be pushed to full back to cope with Southampton’s addition threat. He should be less attacking that Antonio Valencia.
LB) Ashley Young
Young did well against Stoke, making one vital goal-line clearance, and with United still struggling with defensive issues – Luke Shaw is definitely out – Van Gaal will have little option but to stick with him.
