Man City move for Jordan Henderson & Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere
The Daily Star claim Louis van Gaal has the Uruguayan on the top of his summer shopping list with Robin van Persie set for an Old Trafford exit whilst on-loan flop Radamel Falcao will be return to his parent club with no prospect of a permanent deal being offered.
With Arsenal also interested in the forward and seeing him as a potential stepping stone to the title, the Star say United seem prepared for a bidding war but believe their incredible transfer budget will see they win out.
And just to reinforce that point, the Star think United could actually offer Cavani a quite incredible £300,000-a-week, a wage that would put him on par with Wayne Rooney.
With United releasing up to £460k-per-week on their wage bill through the potential exits of van Persie and Falcao, the Red Devils face no prospect of falling foul of Financial Fair Play restriction – at least in terms of their pay structure.
