‘Man United are world’s BIGGEST club’ – new signing Depay takes dig at Liverpool after £25m transfer
The Red Devils reportedly have their sights set on Ajax goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen, and de Gea is widely expected to transfer to Real Madrid.
De Gea is rumored to be on the move to Bernabeu on a transfer deal worth £20m-£25m.
Cillessen starred for the Netherlands in the 2014 World Cup, as he helped lead them to the semifinals and a third-place finish after they fell to Argentina on penalty kicks.
The Dutch 24-year-old also shined for Ajax, as he came up with 12 clean sheets throughout the season and led Ajax to a second-place finish in the Eredivisie standings.
Cillessen would certainly provide a safe pair of hands.
Although he has no Premier League experience, he has played 22 times for the Netherlands at senior international level. Meanwhile, De Gea only has five Spain caps to his name.
