Manchester United have announced the re-signing of defender Phil Jones to a four-year contract.
The Red Devils posted the image of Jones putting pen to paper earlier today and noted that the new deal will keep him at Old Trafford through 2019. According to the Metro, Man United boss Louis van Gaal said, “Phil is a talented footballer with great versatility and can play in a number of positions.”

Since being bought from Blackburn for £16.5 million in 2011, Jones has demonstrated the versatility everyone talks about, showing effectiveness as a great defender as well as a scoring threat from the midfield. Jones has a pair of league goals and five total goals in the last four seasons with Man United.
The Daily Mail reported last week that the new Jones contract would be worth approximately £80,000 per week.
