Manchester United have not yet given up hope of signing Bayern Munich striker Thomas Muller, according to reports.
Muller has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer, however, Bayern Munich officials have strongly declared that the German international was not for sale.
United boss Louis van Gaal is short on attacking options heading towards the end of the transfer window, and Metro [via Fichajes] reports the Red Devils could launch a desperate last-minute bid in an attempt to sign the 25-year-old.
Bayern boss Pep Guardiola will surely not want to lose one of his most prized assets, but a reported offer of £65m could turn the heads of the club’s top brass.
Van Gaal will likely lose another attacking option before the end of the transfer window, with reports suggesting the club is in advanced talks with Bayer Leverkusen over the transfer of Mexican international Javier Hernandez.
