Manchester United are on high alert with key target Felipe Anderson reportedly unhappy with his current status at Serie A giants Lazio.
The Brazilian was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford during the summer transfer window, and Daily Express reports the 23-year-old is upset after beginning all of Lazio’s Serie A matches this season on the bench.
His agent Juliana Gomes says she hopes Anderson will now start for the Italian giants or the Brazilian youth international will begin to consider his options.
“He was benched again and I don’t know the reason, but he showed his mettle,” Gomes is quoted as saying by Daily Express.
“Now we expect him to be regularly deployed by the coach.
“A player with the potential and capabilities of Felipe Anderson cannot be happy otherwise.
“He is upset, but he has responded on the field with good football.”
Anderson is considered to be one of Europe’s hottest young prospects and has scored 12 goals in 58 Serie A appearances for the Stadio Olimpico club since joining from Santos in 2013.
United boss Louis van Gaal is understood to still be keen to bolster his attacking depth despite the £36m signing of Anthony Martial.
