Man United expected to lose out on bid for Real Madrid striker
Man United to beat Chelsea with £30m bid for Serie A superstar
It’s not the first player who would pop into your mind though, as Valencia is interested in acquiring backup goalie Victor Valdes, who has sat on the bench behind David de Gea.
Valdes spent his entire career at Barcelona before joining Manchester United in 2015, and he never saw the field for the Red Devils until May.
De Gea is also expected to potentially be on the move, as he is still being pursued by Real Madrid. This would seemingly free up the starting goalie job for Valdes.
However, it is now a realistic possibility that Man United may lose both of their goalies.
Metro reports that Man United will attempt to snag Valencia defender in return if they are to give away Valdes.
Although Valdes is 33 years old, his experience and championship pedigree from playing with Barcelona is sure to be valuable for the Liga BBVA club.
Valencia finished fourth in the 2014-15 Liga BBVA standings.
