Manchester United have their eyes set on Real Madrid striker Gareth Bale, as they are hoping to close out their transfer window with a splash signing.
According to the Daily Mail, Man United boss Louis van Gaal is keen on the Welsh international coming to Old Trafford despite Real Madrid saying that he is not for sale.
It will not be easy for the Red Devils to lure Bale away from Bernabeu, even if they make an astronomical offer.
They are expected to do so by making an bid close to £100m. Bale was previously sold to Real Madrid by Tottenham for £85m, which marked a world-record transfer fee at the time.
