Alves has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League, but it now seems the Brazilian international is headed for the San Siro after telling Sky Italia of his desire to join the Rossoneri.
“It would be a pleasure to join Milan,” Alves is quoted as saying by TalkSport.
“There is a proposal from Italy and I will evaluate all the alternatives before deciding.”
Despite his advancing years, Alves has played 41 games in all competitions this season as Barcelona claimed the La Liga title and helped Barcelona win its fifth European crown in Berlin on Saturday.
