Red Devils want to sign Marchisio in a player plus cash deal.
Manchester United are ready to offer Nani in part exchange for Juventus’ Claudio Marchisio after the midfielder hinted he was unhappy with the Serie A club.
Marchisio is currently on international duty with Italy at the Confederations Cup but said he may consider a move on his return from Brazil.
“I will have to talk to Juventus. I want to see if I’m still important for them. If not, then it is only normal for me to look at other teams. It has been said that my intentions are decisive, but it takes two to tango,” the 27-year-old told Football Italia.
Reports in Italy on Saturday have suggested that Juve have not responded to the player’s comments and are unwilling to hand Marchisio the pay rise he desires.
The central midfielder came through the club’s academy in Turin but is now likely to leave his hometown in search of a new employer.
The Scudetto winners value the left-footer at close to €30m however, meaning Man United boss David Moyes is likely to offer unwanted winger Nani in part-exchange.
The former Sporting star has attracted interest from Juventus in the past and is almost certain to leave Old Trafford this summer after reaching stalemate in contract negotiations with the club.
The Red Devils reportedly valued Nani at around £8.5m.
