Tottenham are considering a move for Manchester United winger Ashley Young, according to reports.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino was initially keen to lure Crystal Palace star Yannick Bolasie to White Hart Lane, but The Mirror reports the North London club have been put off by Palace’s £25m valuation of the Congolese international.
The report suggests Tottenham will now turn its attention to signing Young, with the winger’s future uncertain as he is yet to a agree to a new deal to remain at Old Trafford beyond next season.
It is understood Young would be forced to take a pay-cut from his current £110k-a-week deal to join Spurs, but he could be willing to make a move in order to gain more first-team action.
Tottenham are looking to offload both Aaron Lennon and Andros Townsend, but will reportedly wait until the end of the window in case the club does not reach a deal for a replacement winger.
