Man United striker Wayne Rooney is already attracting interest from MLS commissioner Don Garber.
The 29-year-old is unlikely to be leaving Old Trafford anytime soon, but he is on the radar of Garber who hopes that he will follow in the footsteps of the likes of David Beckham and Steven Gerrard in the future.

However, Garber was also keen to avoid causing any controversy and refused to specifically discuss when or where Rooney will be moving on to a new challenge.
He told the Manchester Evening News: “He’s under contract at Man Utd. I’m personally very friendly with the Glazers, I know them well.
“To even be talking about it while he’s under contract I guess speaks to the way we operate. We don’t do that. We wouldn’t do it.”
If the England captain were to make the move across the pond, he would be following a number of top stars to MLS with the league continuing to grow in stature and popularity.
Nevertheless, he will still have many more objectives at United to achieve before he begins to consider his long-term future.
