The war of words continues between Louis van Gaal and David de Gea.
Despite a big win over Aston Villa on the road, there was one Man United player who remains in a terrible mood: star goalkeeper David de Gea.
According to The Telegraph, the 24-year-old goalkeeper is “seething” after being pulled from Man United’s gameday squad against Aston Villa and wasn’t even allowed to travel with the team to Villa Park.
David de Gea, who has openly expressed his desire to leave Old Trafford in the recent past, has been heavily linked with a transfer to La Liga giant Real Madrid with members of his inner-circle already suggesting that a deal is nearly done if not done already.
The Telegraph has noted that Louis van Gaal has reportedly asked David de Gea to train with the reserves – worsening an already deep rift between the Man United boss and the reigning PFA Goalkeeper of the Year.
Man United have played well with summer pickup Sergio Romero filling the void, recording a clean sheet in each of his first two starts.
