De Gea has been in fine form for United this season, leading to the Red Devils preparing to open contract talks with the young goalkeeper, but so far the Spaniard appears to be keeping his options open.
With Iker Casillas now past his best, Real are looking for the next long term incumbent of the goalkeeping position and are ready to pay a huge fee of £50 million to land their man.
