Man United reportedly pursued Barcelona star Neymar this summer, but the Brazilian is set to sign a lucrative new deal with the Spanish giants instead.
According to the Daily Mirror, Neymar is set to open talks with the club over a new deal which will make him the second-highest earner at the Camp Nou behind Lionel Messi.

The Brazilian international had been linked with a switch to Old Trafford this summer, but with reports claiming that he is set to double his salary after tax to £200,000-per-week, it appears as though he will be staying put.
Cynics had suggested at the time that the rumours of a move to United were purely part of a strategy from his representatives to hurry Barca into contract talks.
While it is unclear if there was any real interest from Louis Van Gaal and Ed Woodward, it appears as though they have their wish with the La Liga champions set to begin talks and secure the Brazilian’s long-term future at the club.
