Sergio Ramos is trying ensure his move from Real Madrid to Manchester United by deliberately rejecting offers from Chelsea and Manchester City.
According to the Metro, the former World Cup Champion has already determined that he will most likely turn down offers Chelsea and Man City to secure a deal with Man United. The gesture may not be necessary though, as the the Red Devils have already expressed their willingness to offer an extremely generous package for Ramos to join them at Old Trafford this year.
Ramos has reportedly been frustrated with contract talks with Real Madrid – a recurring theme among the club’s stars ever since Rafa Benitez took over (see: Ronaldo, Cristiano) – and has been making loud overtures about his eagerness to leave, even going so far as to demand that Real Madrid make him part of the deal to acquire Man United goalkeeper David de Gea.
Considered one of the best defenders in the world, the 10-year Real Madrid veteran Ramos was named La Liga Best Defender in three straight years (2012-2014) and is a four-time member of the UEFA Team of the Year. Ramos has 40 goals in 314 League appearances and 10 international goals – including two game-winners against France and Sweden.
