Manchester United is poised to make a £30 million offer to Lazio for midfielder Felipe Anderson – which would likely pull the rug out from under Chelsea.
According to the Daily Star, Man United manager Louis van Gaal believes Anderson would be a perfect fit for his club, which finished a distant 4th on the Premier League table this past season, and the club’s scouts have been equally impressed with the 22-year-old Brazilian’s play in Serie A.
With Lazio reportedly interested in Man United’s Robin van Persie, the possibility of a swap is remote but there nonetheless. Chelsea, Barcelona and Man City have also been rumored to have interest in Anderson, but both Chelsea and Man City may have to save their money for Paul Pogba.
Anderson has 10 goals in 45 appearances with Lazio and received high praise for his dribbling skills.
