Manchester United are set to offer goalkeeper David de Gea a £250,000-per-week deal over four years in order to keep him away from Real Madrid, according to The Sun.

The 24-year-old has been consistently linked back to the Spanish capital for some time now, with some sources even claiming that a £130,000-per-week contract has already been agreed upon between the two parties.
But in their desperation, the club have virtually asked his agent to ‘name their price’ as they head into another round of negotiations.
They are hoping that the new and improved sea will convince him to stay put, and have even told him that he can leave the club on the cheap in two years as long as he rebuffs Real’s advances this time around.
However, should United resign themselves to losing him, they will demand a transfer fee of £30m to convince them to sell.
