United initially attempted to offer Real Madrid £35m, but it was rejected by the Spanish giants.
The Red Devils are far from ready to give up on their pursuit of the defender though, as The Metro reports that they will now raise their offer to a whopping £49.6m.
New Real manager Rafael Benitez is hoping to see the 29-year-old stay in Bernabeu. Ramos has been rumored to be interested in playing for United though and may attempt to force through a move.
However, Ramos may be employing a hardball tactic of his own to gain the biggest contract possible with Madrid.
