Manchester United have been on a mission to fill holes in their midfield, and they have succeeded in doing so this summer.
Their confidence in their new midfield signings is showing, as the Daily Express reports that the Red Devils are preparing to sell midfielder Jesse Lingard to Bristol City.
The Sun says Louis van Gaal has given his blessing to a transfer that will see Lindgard move to the Robins for £2.5m.
Lingard had his 2014-15 season dented by a knee injury, and he was eventually given to Derby County on a loan deal.
The 22-year-old had appeared to be on track for his fair share of first-team appearance though, as he started in Man United’s home opener against Swansea City 12 months ago.
Lingard showed a fair amount of promise with Derby, as he scored two goals in 14 appearances.
United will look to move forward successfully with Bastian Schweinsteiger, Morgan Schneiderlin and Memphis Depay in their squad.
They also appear to be on track to sign Barcelona winger Pedro, who is eager to get more first-team game time after falling down the pecking order in Spain.
