Man United keen on doubling down with Real Madrid defender
Man United agree to transfer deal for Hoffenheim midfielder
De Gea has constantly come up in rumors that he will transfer to Real Madrid, but Man United has a master plan to make up for the loss of de Gea if it happens.
They are attempting to raid Real Madrid for star defender Sergio Ramos, who would easily be a welcome addition to a club that is looking to shore up its defense.
Ramos has become a prime target for Man United, according to Fichajes.
He has shown ability to score too, as he notched four goals for Real Madrid in 27 La Liga appearances.
Real Madrid is prepared to sell the 29-year-old defender, and Man United is getting ready to break the bank as they have a £150m budget.
They have already struck a deal with Valencia defender Nicolas Otamendi, so adding Ramos would undoubtedly make the Red Devils defense more dangerous and make their goalkeeper’s job much easier.
It remains to be seen whether that will be de Gea or Ajax goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen, who is Man United’s backup plan in case de Gea leaves.
