Manchester United reportedly hope to use loanee Adnan Januzaj as bait to sign in-demand Borussia Dortmund midfielder Marco Reus.
Januzaj moved on loan to the Bundesliga giants earlier this week, but United seem to have plans to make his stay there more permanent.
According to the Daily Star, Dortmund would be willing to consider taking Januzaj in a part-exchange deal for Reus if he performs well.
Germany international Reus has long been on the radar of Europe’s top clubs, but injuries have prevented him from making a big-money move in recent windows.
The 26-year-old is currently sidelined by a broken toe, but there is expected to be interest in him next summer providing that he returns to fitness this season.
Arsenal and Liverpool have previously been credited with an interest in Reus, who is rated at £60m, but Januzaj could be the silver bullet for United.
