Man United have been handed a boost as AC Milan chief Adriano Galliani has revealed that the Italian giants have pulled out of signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The Rossoneri were regarded as the favourites to sign the Swedish international this summer, with Ibrahimovic himself making no secret of his affection for the club.

However, it doesn’t appear as though they will be making a last-minute bid for him, as Galliani believes that the 33-year-old will be staying with PSG.
“That chapter is closed, he will stay in Paris,” he told reporters on Saturday.
Nevertheless, while Milan are now seemingly out of the picture, that doesn’t rule out United boss Louis Van Gaal from making a shock move.
The Dutch tactician previously stated this summer that he wanted another attacking option, and suggested that the player he had in mind hadn’t necessarily been linked with the club by the media.
While it is unclear if Ibrahimovic fits the mould of the player that he is looking for, the British media have insisted that the Swede is on his radar.
Given that it is still possible that he will leave Paris before the deadline, it remains to be seen if it is Old Trafford that is his next destination.
