Manchester United star striker Robin van Persie is expected to be on the move to a Turkish club, but it may not be the one that he has been constantly linked to after all.
Despite being close to a deal with Fenerbahce, Besiktas are trying to hijack the £12m transfer deal for Van Persie, according to turkish-football.com.

Van Persie is expected to leave Old Trafford, and Fenerbahce were thought to have had a three-year deal for him wrapped up.
However, Besiktas President Fikret Orman has reportedly been talking with the 31-year-old Dutch international.
Van Persie scored 10 goals in 27 Premier League appearances for Man United last season.
Although his days of scoring close to 30 goals seem to be behind him, Van Persie has plenty of scoring ability left in the tank.
Plus, a move away from the Premier League should be nothing but smooth for the Dutch striker.
