Manchester United goalkeeper Kieran O’Hara has joined Morecambe on a one-month youth loan.
The 18-year-old will be available for Morecambe’s next five fixtures before returning to Old Trafford.
He joins the Shrimpers, who are currently 10th in the League Two table, as cover for veteran number one Barry Roche, after reserve keeper Tony Thompson dislocated his finger in training last week.
Morecambe manager Jim Bentley told the club’s official website: “We welcome Kieran to the club and hope he enjoys his time here learns a lot from his experience.”
O’Hara, who had a previous work experience spell with Trafford FC, signed his first professional contract with United in 2014 and made his debut for the club’s Under-21 side last season.
The teenager takes the No.30 squad number for his spell at the Globe Arena.
