The father of Zenit’s Axel Witsel has given his blessing to United’s pursuit of the Belgian midfielder, according to the Metro.
United have also been linked with Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan. The Daily Star claim that Old Trafford chiefs have been in recent contact with Dortmund, but that those transfer talks have been regarding an unnamed player – not Gundogan.
