The Dutch goalkeeper has been linked with a move to England this summer, provided that David de Gea moves on to join Real Madrid.
United have reportedly conceded that the Spaniard will either leave this summer or next summer on a free, and so they have begun the process of finding his successor.
“I only hear rumours. I don’t worry about it until I hear something from my agent – if I don’t hear anything I’ll enjoy playing at Ajax,” Cillessen said, according to Sky Sports.
“I don’t know anything. I asked Memphis Depay if he had heard anything but he didn’t know anything either. It would be a great step but I am happy at Ajax.”
Meanwhile, Ajax boss Frank de Boer described the Dutch stopper as ‘the best one in Holland’ and conceded that although they wanted to keep him, it would be difficult to turn United down if they come in with a sizeable offer.
